Educational Qualifications

To register smoothly on the recruitment portal, candidates must satisfy the respective engineering profiles:

For Technician Grade-III: Class 10th (Matriculation / SSLC) passed from a recognized board PLUS an ITI Certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant technical trade.
For Technician Grade-I Signal: A completed B.Sc. degree (Physics, Computer Science, IT, or Electronics) OR a 3-year regular Diploma / Degree in Engineering branches from a recognized technical institute.

Selection Process

The screening infrastructure involves thorough technical evaluations across consecutive phases:

Computer Based Test (CBT): Nationwide online written examination focusing on Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness.
Document Verification (DV): Checking of original academic marksheets, technical trade certifications, and caste proofs.
Medical Examination: Undergoing the mandatory medical fitness standard (B1/B2 categories) in specified Railway Hospitals.

Compensation & Pay Matrix Level

Technician Grade-I Signal: Placed in 7th CPC Level-5 with an initial basic pay of ₹29,200/- per month.
Technician Grade-III: Placed in 7th CPC Level-2 with an initial basic pay of ₹19,900/- per month.
Gross Benefits: Total monthly package includes basic pay added with Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and various railway allowances.
