Post Details & Educational Eligibility Criteria

1. Teaching Posts

• Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University + B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
• Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks + B.Ed. + CTET (Paper-II) / State TET qualified.
• Primary Teacher (PRT): Graduation with minimum 50% marks + B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. / B.El.Ed. + CTET (Paper-I) qualified.
• Nursery Teacher (NTT): Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks + Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education / Pre-School Education / Early Childhood Education (D.E.C.Ed.) of not less than 2 years or B.Ed. (Nursery).
• Special Educator / Counselor: Graduation / Post Graduation in Psychology or Child Development + Diploma/Degree in Guidance and Counseling / Special Education recognized by RCI.

2. Non-Teaching Posts

• LDC / UDC / Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with proficiency in English typing and computer operations (MS Office).
• Library Assistant / Librarian: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science (B.Lib.Sc / M.Lib.Sc).
• Lab Assistant: 12th pass (Science) or B.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.

Age Limit

• General Age Limit: 21 to 35 / 40 Years (calculated as per DAVCMC notification guidelines).
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for experienced candidates, internal staff, and reserved categories as per institutional norms.

Selection Process

1. Computer-Based Test (DAV CBT): Objective written test assessing subject knowledge, general aptitude, teaching methodology, and reasoning.
2. DAV CBT Eligibility Card (PEC): Candidates scoring above qualifying benchmarks receive the Professional Eligibility Certificate.
3. Demo Teaching / Skill Test: Evaluation of classroom handling and communication skills for teaching roles; practical skill test for clerical/lab roles.
4. Panel Interview: Personal interaction with the school selection committee.
5. Document Verification & Final Appointment.
