Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute (as on the closing date of application: 06.11.2026).
  • For typing posts (Senior Clerk cum Typist & Junior Account Assistant cum Typist), candidates should possess proficiency in computer typing (30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi).

2. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027)

  • Age Bracket: 18 to 36 Years (Includes standard 3-year COVID/administrative age relaxation).
  • Upper Age Relaxation:
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years (Up to 39 Years)
    • SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years (Up to 41 Years)
    • PwBD Candidates: 10 Years (Up to 15 years depending on category)
    • Ex-Servicemen: Service length + 3 years

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The recruitment process consists of sequential stages:
  1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1): 100 Questions / 100 Marks (90 Minutes). Common for all posts; screening/qualifying in nature.
    • General Awareness: 40 Qs
    • Mathematics: 30 Qs
    • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 Qs
  2. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2): 120 Questions / 120 Marks (90 Minutes). Post-level specific; marks determine final merit.
  3. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) / Typing Skill Test (TST):
    • CBAT for Station Master / Traffic Assistant (if applicable).
    • Typing Skill Test for Senior Clerk & Junior Account Assistant.
  4. Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination: Strict compliance with medical standards (A-2 for Goods Train Manager, C-2 for Clerks).

  2. Click on “Apply” and select “Create an Account” (skip if already holding an active RRB account).
  3. Verify your Aadhaar details, mobile number, and email ID via OTP.
  4. Log in and select “CEN No. 06/2026 (NTPC Graduate)”.
