1. Educational & Skill Qualifications (as on 01.10.2026):

• Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized University in India.
• Shorthand: Demonstrated proficiency in English Shorthand with a minimum speed of 110 words per minute (wpm).
• Typing Speed: Knowledge of computer operation with a typing speed of 40 words per minute (wpm) on computer.

2. Age Limit (as on 01.10.2026):

• Age Range: 18 to 30 Years
• Age Relaxations:
  • SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 Years
  • PwBD Candidates: 10 Years
  • Supreme Court Departmental Candidates: No upper age limit
  • (Note: No age relaxation is applicable to candidates working in other Government departments/PSUs/Banks).

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (Objective Type Test): 100 multiple-choice questions (100 marks; 1.5 hours) covering General English, General Aptitude, and General Knowledge. Qualifying marks: 50%.
2. English Shorthand Test: 7-minute dictation at 110 wpm, followed by 45 minutes for transcription on a computer (Max. 5% permissible errors).
3. Computer Typing Speed Test: 10 minutes typing test with a minimum benchmark speed of 40 wpm.
4. Personal Interview: Candidates qualifying in all stages will be shortlisted for the interview round (30 marks; minimum qualifying marks: 15).
