Age Limit & Relaxation (as on 01.01.2026)

Educational Qualification

  • Senior Personal Assistant (SPA):
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
    • English Shorthand speed of at least 110 w.p.m.
    • English Typewriting speed of at least 40 w.p.m. on a computer.
    • Working knowledge of computer applications.
  • Personal Assistant (PA):
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
    • English Shorthand speed of not less than 100 w.p.m.
    • English Typewriting speed of not less than 40 w.p.m. on a computer.
    • Working knowledge of computer applications.

Selection Process

The selection procedure comprises four stages:
  1. Stage-I: Qualifying English Typing Test (40 w.p.m. on computer)
  2. Stage-II: English Shorthand Test (110 w.p.m. for SPA / 100 w.p.m. for PA)
  3. Stage-III: Main (Descriptive) Examination (English Language)
  4. Stage-IV: Interview & Document Verification

The Stage-III Descriptive Paper tests English language proficiency:
