Eligibility Criteria & Vacancies

1. Age Limit (as on 01.07.2027)

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 27 Years
• (Candidates must have been born between 02 July 2000 and 01 July 2007, both dates inclusive).

2. Educational Qualification

• Degree Requirement: Candidates must have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or be in the final year of their Engineering Degree course.
• For Final Year Students: Candidates studying in the final year of their engineering degree must submit proof of passing the examination by 01 July 2027 to the Directorate General of Recruiting, and produce their final degree certificates within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at IMA.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of Applications: The Ministry of Defence sets a cut-off percentage for each engineering discipline to shortlist candidates.
2. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a 5-day SSB (Services Selection Board) Interview at centers like Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar. It includes:
   • Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT).
   • Stage II: Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks (GTO), and Personal Interview.
3. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a thorough medical and physical fitness examination.
4. Final Merit List: Prepared purely on the basis of marks obtained in the SSB Interview, subject to medical fitness and availability of vacancies.

Step-by-Step How to Apply Online

1. Visit the official Indian Army website at joinindianarmy.nic.in.
2. Click on “Officer Entry Apply/Login” and then click “Registration” (if not already registered). Complete the one-time registration process.
3. After registration, log in to your dashboard and click on “Apply Online” under your eligible entries.
4. An application page for the ‘TGC-145’ course will open. Fill in your personal details, communication address, educational background, and aggregate marks up to the 6th/8th semester.
5. Verify all entered data and click on “Save & Continue”.
6. Submit the final application form before 29 October 2026 (1500 hrs).
7. Take two printouts of the submitted application form with your roll number generated after the closing of the application window.
