Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational & Technical Qualifications

Academic: Must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Institution.

Technical Qualification:

Certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI) with minimum three (03) years practical experience in the trade from a reputed workshop, OR

Three-year Diploma in Automobile Engineering from an institution recognized by the State/Central Government.

2. Age Limit (as on 27.10.2026)

Age Bracket: 18 to 25 Years (Candidate must have been born between 28.10.2001 and 27.10.2008, both dates inclusive).

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years (Up to 28 Years)

Selection Process
The recruitment process for ITBP Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) will be conducted in multiple phases:

Phase-I:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 1.6 Km Race (in 7 mins 30 secs), 11 Feet Long Jump (3 chances), 3½ Feet High Jump (3 chances). PET is qualifying in nature.

Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, Chest, and Weight measurements.

Written Examination (OMR / CBT – 50 Marks): Objective-type multiple-choice questions assessing General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, and Trade (Motor Mechanic/Automobile) knowledge.

Practical / Skill Test (50 Marks): Hands-on test of technical vehicle repair, engine diagnostics, and tool operations.
